not so much with the being on the ball

so Peter and I are really lazy. We haven't finished updating the details or anything else for that matter. I did some shopping around the halloween season and that was about all the effort that I have put forth.....oh, I gathered some branches. Yep, branches. Gotta love a good wind.

Doubt we'll do much now that we are in the midst of the holiday season. You know, that other holiday, the christmasy thing. Or, for those like myself, it's the winter solstice I'll be celebrating.

I suppose come the new year, we'll have to try to get on that wedding planning ball and start it rolling along. Woohoo....are you picking up on the joy there? Can't wait. Insert sarcastic sigh here.

Well, whatever festivities you choose to celebrate this season I wish you bliss. till then, adieu my sweets.

03 October 2008

yes, we are going through with this...

...and by this I mean that after 11 1/2 years together Peter and I have a confirmed date and location for getting hitched. We'll be putting an end to this sinful living of ours and making it 'official', without the aid of shotguns. Though that would be festive (hey, if anyone is looking for a costume idea...?).

...and by this I mean that we are sticking to the Halloween/Samhain theme. (If this raises issues for you, you may want to try thinking of it as Celtic New Year instead.) Neither of us is overly traditional and to get married in that way would be fake and unreal for us; without personal connection. We are not out to offend, but to celebrate us in a way that best reflects our splendiferous selves and we want to share that with all the beautiful, fabulous people in our lives.

And now I'm tired so back with details later.
